Scenery along the River Tame and Peak Forest Canal

It’s not always about the wildlife

I’ve posted before about the wildlife along the River Tame and the Peak Forest Canal, you can see those blogs here and here.  Whilst taking pictures of the wildlife is always my intention when I go on my walks, sometimes it’s nice to concentrate on the scenery.

Changing seasons

When it comes to photography each season has its benefits.  From winter when the snow falls and covers the ground and trees with a white blanket of snow, spring when the chicks of the moorhens, ducks and geese start to appear, then to summer when the trees are covered in leaves and flowers, and not forgetting autumn when the leaves change colour and begin to fall.

The following pictures were taken at different times over the last few months along our local stretch of the Peak Forest Canal and River Tame.

Clicking on any of the pictures will take you to a scrollable gallery.
